Our technology is modular and has a small footprint (<1,000 sqft), allowing for easy siting at your facility or in the field. Our plug-in technology can be added to existing mechanical recycling facilities to provide a low-cost, cleaner alternative to chemical processes used today. Our system helps ensure the end-of-life compliance you promised to customers, reduce risk, minimize transportation, and provides a secondary raw material feedstock for manufacturing of new batteries for the energy transition (product you can actually sell in market).
How it works.
Nth Cycle uses electro-extraction. Our system is based on an electrochemically-modified filter press, combining both filtration and electrowinning into one unit. This allows for operation at low voltages and high current efficiencies, significantly reducing energy costs and footprint. In addition, the in-situ base production alleviates the need for highly caustic chemicals while reducing waste, potential hazards, and greenhouse gas emissions.
Nth Cycle can be added to existing mechanical recycling facilities to provide a low-cost, greener alternative to chemical processes today. We can take disassembled consumer electronic, electric vehicle magnets and other e-waste as black mass and process it into rare earth oxides for manufacturing at a fraction of the cost and GHG emissions of current recycling methods.

Our outputs are metal hydroxides that can be sold to hydrometallurgical refineries for reuse in lithium-ion cathode manufacturing lines. Our upgraded products can be inserted later into the process for refining, which saves time, cost, and resources to produce battery-grade precursors.
